* COBRA and Extended Coverage participants may select from the same plan options
as active participants, depending on where they live, but only they -
not their dependents - are eligible for the Low Option Plan.
If you live in Southern California and enroll in the Regular Plan, you can get medical care at one of the local area health centers
established especially for members of the entertainment industry. By using The
Industry Health Network (TIHN), you could pay less out of pocket for care than
you would by using other providers. (For details, see "How
The Industry Health Network Works", and refer to the Summary
Of Benefits.)
The various plans are designed to provide the medical care you need based on
how you prefer to access care and how much you're willing to pay. For example,
some plans cost you less out of pocket but provide fewer choices as to whom
you may see for service. Other plans provide comprehensive benefits but require
deductibles or have annual maximums. For more information and a comparison of
benefits under these plans, refer to the descriptions on the following pages
and in the Summary Of Benefits, which
you'll find in the back pocket of this handbook.
