How The Industry Health Network Works
(For Southern California Only)

If you live in Southern California, a special network that allows you to save on your health care costs is available to you. Here's the pitch for The Industry Health Network (TIHN).

  • TIHN has five separate Industry Health Care Centers set up for the exclusive use of entertainment industry members and health plan participants. These centers are conveniently located in Los Angeles (two sites), Burbank, Woodland Hills and Valencia.
  • You may use these centers for health care services if you participate in the Regular Plan.
  • TIHN benefits range from hospitalization, surgery and anesthesia to primary care visits, laboratory and radiology services, and well-child care.
  • You pay no deductible when you use TIHN providers and facilities.
  • If you and your covered dependents use TIHN primary care physicians (PCPs), providers and health centers, you can potentially save hundreds of dollars a year because, except for hospitalization, you pay only a copay for each visit. You don't have a deductible to meet or coinsurance to pay.
  • You'll need to call for an appointment to see a PCP at one of the Industry Health Care Centers. You'll need a written referral for services, such as specialty care, provided outside the TIHN facilities.
  • Without a referral, your standard benefits for the Regular Plan (including deductibles) will apply.
  • TIHN benefits are subject to the standard maximums and limitations of the Regular Plan.

To sum up: This is the best savings opportunity the Fund offers in Southern California.
