Article IV, Section 21   see Amendment I


Section 21. 13th Checks.

  1. With respect to all monthly retirement or death benefits that went into pay status on or before January 1, 1996, an additional payment, equal to the otherwise payable monthly benefit for January 1996 (but not any other month), shall be made.

  2. With respect to all monthly retirement or death benefits that went into pay status on or before January 1, 1997, an additional payment, equal to the otherwise payable monthly benefit for January 1997 (but not any other month), shall be made.

  3. With respect to all monthly retirement or death benefits that went into pay status on or before January 1, 1998, an additional payment, equal to the otherwise payable monthly benefit for January 1998 (but not any other month), shall be made.

  4. Notwithstanding the foregoing, no additional payment shall be made under this Section 21 to any person who received a lump sum retirement or death benefit. The additional payment shall be made to Participants who are receiving payments solely by virtue of Article IV, Section 5 (the minimum distribution rules).

  5. There is no right (vested, accrued or otherwise) to any additional payments other than those set forth in this Section 21.
