In order to receive a pension, the Participant needs to become vested.

Qualified Year

A Qualified Year is any calendar year in which a Participant accumulates eight Credited Weeks. In general, a Participant will be treated as earning eight Credited Weeks if the Participant earns at least $5,000 in gross compensation for covered services ($3,200 in a year for Plan Years before 1997).
